Description
Steel reinforcement bars, commonly known as rebar, are embedded in concrete to provide tensile strength. Concrete performs well under compression but is comparatively weak in tension, so reinforcement helps structural members resist bending, cracking and tensile forces when correctly designed.
Main applications
Reinforced concrete foundations and footings.
Beams, columns and suspended slabs.
Retaining walls and structural frames.
Roads and other reinforced concrete structures.
Common sizes: 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 16 mm and other diameters according to structural requirements.
Key benefits: Improved tensile capacity, structural performance and resistance to cracking under properly designed loading.
Important: Rebar diameter, grade, spacing, lap lengths and concrete cover must follow the engineer's specifications.
